Curing Candida With Yogurt

Curing Candida with yogurt is a method that thousands of women are now using to cure their vaginal yeast infections. Most women eventually attempt this method after over the counter anti fungal creams stop working, but it's a much more successful method if you use it as soon as you get your yeast infection.

Resistant Candida

The problem with using this method after the anti fungal creams aren't working is you'll be dealing with a much hardier strain of the mutated Candida yeast. The cream that has been used will have made the Candida resistant so it will be a lot stronger than the yeast that first caused the infection. This will make it more difficult to treat, even with a natural cure like yogurt.

If a yogurt cure was used first time the yeast wouldn't become resistant because the bacteria in the live yogurt lives in your vagina all the time. It's only when the levels of your friendly bacteria are lowered that the Candida yeast can mutate and cause an infection. With a live yogurt all your doing is repopulating your vagina with friendly bacteria so the yeast can't become resistant as they live with the friendly bacteria all the time anyway.

Plain yogurt for yeast infections

Curing Candida with yogurt is easy, but it can be slightly messy. All you need to do is dip a tampon in your plain yogurt then insert the tampon as you usually would. You must make sure the yogurt is a live, natural and sugar free. If it has sugar in it the sugar will just feed the Candida yeast, and you'll end up making your infection worse. The yogurt will list the strains of friendly bacteria on the label to let you know that it's a live yogurt.

Leave the tampon in for a couple of hours then remove it. You can do this a couple of times a day. Leaving the tampon in for longer than necessary can make your symptoms worse.

If the yogurt Candida cure doesn't work

If the yogurt cure doesn't work then you either have an internal, medical or health cause for your yeast infection, or you don't have a yeast infection. If you haven't had a correct diagnosis yet from your doctor it's a good idea to get one just to make sure you are treating a yeast infection. If you do have a yeast infection then you can find out more about recurrent yeast infection here - Causes recurrent Candida infections.

Once you have discovered the cause of your chronic Candida infections they will be much easier to cure.
